On 23 December, 2019, Anti-HBc diagnostic kit (Chemiluminescent Microparticle Immunoassay) achieved medical device registration certificate.
About product:
This kit is used to quantitatively detect Hepatitis B virus core antibody (Anti-HBc) in human plasma or serum.
To know about product:
Anti-HBc is present in the serum in early HBV infection and is often persistent throughout life, indicating an individual's "present" or "past" HBV infection. In epidemiological studies, anti-HBC positive rate is an indicator to judge the overall HBV infection rate in the population.Anti-HBc is a screening indicator for latent HBV infection and related diseases, and an important indicator for blood safety screening in HBV low-prevalence areas. When HBsAg and HBeAg begin to decrease, the titer of anti-HBC reaches the peak. At this time, the virus may still exist but cannot be detected because of the low titer. In the convalescence stage of acute hepatitis, anti-HBC can still be detected when both HBsAg and anti-HBS are reduced to the detection lower limit.
Hepatitis B virus core antibody anti-HBC is one of the important indicators of past or present infection of hepatitis B virus. It can provide some reference for distinguishing past infection from current infection, but not as the sole basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Clinical management of patients should be combined with their symptoms/signs, medical history, other laboratory tests, epidemiology and other information.
